Georgia State University (GSU) invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Provost for International Initiatives (APII). The APII reports to the Provost and serves as part of the
provost’s executive staff. The APII will serve as the Senior International Officer for the University and provides leadership to increase Georgia State’s global impact.
On campus, the APII leads the Office of International Initiatives (OII) in the strategic integration and coordination of the University’s international ventures including: partnerships, grants, program
development, management, events and activities, as well as study abroad programs. Externally, the APII will represent Georgia State to international constituencies (governments, academic and
research institutions, NGOs, corporations, and key private individuals) to explore and negotiate partnerships and identify new sources of funding. The University seeks a creative, entrepreneurial, and broadly experienced leader to oversee
a dedicated professional staff, build on successes to date, and expand Georgia State’s global engagement and visibility. The University has identified the achievement of “distinction in globalizing the University” as one of the five primary goals in its strategic plan.
