At Monmouth University, Dr. Parsons-Pollard has been responsible for oversight of academic programs and has led efforts to increase faculty diversity and inclusion. She also will be responsible for the development and implementation of faculty orientation and leadership programs, assistance with the promotion and tenure process, and the management of university awards and recognition.
Kavita Pandit, current Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, will continue to serve on the Provost’s leadership team as senior adviser and also return to her research and teaching.
“I would like to thank Dr. Pandit for her outstanding dedication to faculty and, in particular, recognize her significant contributions to the Commission for the Next Generation of Faculty, among her many other achievements,” Provost Hensel said in a message to campus this spring.
“I know Dr. Parsons-Pollard will build upon Dr. Pandit’s work, and I hope you join me in welcoming her to our university community,” the Provost continued.
