Reach Out. Refine. Review. Act. Launching the Second Round of COACHE
In 2019, full-time faculty were invited to participate in Georgia State’s first round of the COACHE (Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education) faculty job satisfaction survey. Based on faculty feedback and insight, over the past few years, the university implemented an action plan to address areas needing improvement. You can read about the university’s action plan and progress at https://provost.gsu.edu/coache/.
COACHE, affiliated with the Harvard Graduate School of Education, is an iterative process. Now, Georgia State begins the cycle again. To kick off the new round of COACHE, the university will hold a virtual town hall on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 3 to 4 p.m. via Webex.
A registration link will be sent to faculty via campus email. The discussion will include:
- The purpose of COACHE and the first-round results and action plan
- Why Georgia State is repeating the cycle
- The aspects of faculty life that the survey will cover
- Confidentiality
- Next steps
The information that will be presented will be the same as that which was presented at individual college/school meetings over the prior weeks.
