The National Science Foundation’s National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics has released a new report, Diversity and STEM: Women, Minorities and Persons with Disabilities 2023, providing high-level insights from multiple data sources into the diversity of the STEM workforce in the United States.
Dr. Ebony Glover, Associate Professor of Neuroscience at Kennesaw State University, will speak at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25 as part of the Freedom School event series in a lecture entitled “The Mental Health Cost of Being a Black Woman.”

Dr. Glover will examine the intersectionality of biological sex and racial status in mental health disparities, presenting evidence linking racial disparities in reproductive factors to mental health outcomes that disproportionately harm Black women.
