The BluePrint to 2033, the university’s strategic plan, serves as the cornerstone of the Provost’s Priorities. These priorities, shaped by insights from the university community and data from the COACHE faculty satisfaction survey, reflect key initiatives designed to enhance academic innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and institutional growth.

KEY PRIORITIES

Building Collaborative Research Communities

We are working closely with the Vice President for Research and the Undergraduate Research Center to expand research opportunities and foster collaboration across disciplines and degree levels.

Global Education & Early Advising

To support student success from the very beginning, we are expanding advising services from day one and strengthening global education opportunities, ensuring students have access to diverse learning experiences.

Enhancing the Student Experience

Retention and persistence are at the heart of student success. We are prioritizing:

High-impact practices that deepen learning.
Programs that improve student engagement and well-being.

Advancing Technology & AI

We are integrating artificial intelligence into education and research, including:

Establishing a School of Computing to drive innovation.
Expanding AI initiatives across every college at Georgia State.
Creating interdisciplinary programs that prepare students for the future workforce.

Strengthening Enrollment & Graduate Student Support

To enhance graduate education, we are implementing:

A Graduate Enrollment Management Plan to streamline recruitment and retention.
Increased support for first-generation graduate students, ensuring equitable access to advanced degrees.

Increasing the Number of Nurses in the Workforce

To meet the growing demand for healthcare professionals, we are:

Developing the infrastructure and framework needed to expand nursing student capacity.
Increasing collaboration between Perimeter College and Atlanta Campus nursing faculty.
Increasing access to classroom and clinical space to accommodate more students.
Leveraging current relationships for clinical placements to enhance hands-on experience.
