A NOTE FROM THE PROVOST
Taking Stock of Our Progress

Happy New Year, and welcome back! I hope that you and yours had a restful winter holiday break.
As we return for the start of another dynamic calendar year at Georgia State, we are also at the halfway point for the 2024-25 academic year. I think it’s valuable that as we start the semester, we take a look at how far we’ve come.
In late December, my communications team assembled a glimpse at some of the major highlights and milestones from units of the Office of the Provost and other campus partners in the previous year.
You can read a year-in-review on the Provost’s Office website at this link or at the blue button below.
From the strategic plan, the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) process and international initiatives, to academic affairs, student success and faculty affairs, we continue to make progress on priorities key to Georgia State’s future.
I hope you find this look back at the previous year enlightening, and that it will help to inspire excitement for the new year ahead. Please make sure to check back with the news feed of my office’s website and at our LinkedIn page for updates.
All my best for a successful new semester!

Nicolle Parsons-Pollard, Ph.D.
