Nicolle Parsons-Pollard, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, was the first guest for the BetterMynd podcast series, “Beyond Titles,” discussing leadership during a time of rapid change.

The podcast series takes a look at how leaders navigate the complexities of higher education from personal experience, and shares perspectives on supporting the well-being of students and academic communities.

Lisa Armistead Appointed Inaugural Dean of Georgia State’s New Graduate School Effective Sept. 1

I am pleased to announce that Lisa Armistead, associate provost for graduate programs, has accepted an appointment as the inaugural dean of Georgia State’s Graduate School, effective Sept. 1.

This academic year, the Office of Graduate Programs will transition into the Graduate School, building upon programs in admissions, marketing and professional development activities for the university’s graduate students. The school also will coordinate university-level policies for graduate students and collaborate with the university’s colleges and schools to strengthen interdisciplinary academic programs.
